Working title · Draft 4 · 10.15.26 · YNG.studioA day-and-a-half content shoot built to carry the First Semester rollout: what the label asked for, what we film, how it looks, and how it posts through December. Sections marked arriving are filled as footage and references come in.
I’m not reaching forward with this album. I’m reaching back, to the people who had my back.Tye Tribbett
Where were you when Victory dropped?
The visual world
What we are building: the record, the colors, the dress code and the formats, with examples as they come in.
The cover is a pennant umbrella. Every panel is a song title instead of a school. First Semester holds half the canopy. Second Semester holds the other half. Neither resolves on its own; it is one piece of art, divided.
Half the canopy is the First Semester, half is the Second. It turns as you scroll.
Panel titles are placeholders until the label sends the track list.
Nothing AI-generated goes on album covers or DSP artwork: no AI fonts, backgrounds or elements. The umbrella is built and photographed for real on photo day. AI stays in social video only, pending the label’s AI guidance.
Built on the songs people already know, from the V20 live recording.
Completes the canopy ahead of the tour. Carries “Victory” and new material.
First Semester and Second Semester are designed as one image split across two covers, the way older discographies released part one and part two on vinyl with artwork that joins when the sleeves sit side by side. Each cover stands on its own; together they complete the picture.

Conceptual stills of Tye inside the world, shot alongside the umbrella. He is faculty; the cast around him wears the uniform loosely.
More concepts arriving.

Prop built by YNG.studio. Panel lettering waits on the track list from the label.
The prestige of an Ivy, the color and energy of an HBCU. Chocolate Cosmos is the base, Creme Brulee is the lettering, gold comes off the V20 foil lockup and the T901 metallic thread.
Grounds, boards, jerseys.
Type, numbers, stitched lettering.
V20 foil lockup, T901 thread. Crest and trim.
Shirting. The cool note on burgundy.
Scarves, knits, stripes.
Hardware and the hard element.

Captions, episode numbers, timestamps.
Office Hours
One ceremonial line per piece.

The deck and the album world read as a textbook: burgundy cloth boards, gold foil, a seal. Reference for texture and type, not to copy.
Type shown in Google stand-ins. Licensed families are in the V20 brand guide.
Edgy prep. Tartan, tie, blazer and letter knit worn with leather, chain, heavy boot and a wide leg. The uniform is present and disobeyed. Tye is the only one dressed as faculty, and faculty is the only place the tailoring stays intact.
One heritage element and one hard element per person. Everything worn must be purchasable.

Vic Mensa’s “Orange Tree” series: written monologues at the same tree in his own backyard, sun as backlight. Won a Webby; now The Vic Mensa Show.
Instagram began rolling out Series in June: Reels grouped into episodes with a profile hub. TikTok is building a micro-series slate.
Unpolished, series-based content is outperforming one-off, high-production posts. Comment sections are built into the content.
Yahweh Flow (2025) is the UGC benchmark the label set. The target is already proven on Tye’s own record.

Outside gospel · artists who used skits to sell the recordIceman, Episodes 1–4. Livestreamed episodes with a running storyline and recurring characters, ahead of the album. Episode 4 drew 458K+ concurrent viewers.
The rollout itself is the series.
DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. A 12-minute short film with a talking toad, a Three Kings skit on release day, a recurring SNL character. Fans answered with an old-photos trend.
One world, many small scenes.
Short n’ Sweet. A rotating joke every night of the tour and billboards that poke fun at herself. Fans post each city’s bit.
A small repeatable bit becomes the thing fans collect.
Chromakopia. Masked-character teasers before any music, a video with Ayo Edebiri, a truck route fans tracked.
Character first, then the record.
Bing Bong. Celebrity lip-syncs to one sound with Olivia Rodrigo, Jack Harlow and Avril Lavigne.
One sound, many famous faces.
2026 BET Awards. A door-to-door invitation bit with mariachi, posted as a skit.
A comedian’s format, borrowed for an announcement.
Don’t Be Dumb. 360° character visualizers for the album.
The look as content.

Vic Mensa built a world out of very little: one place, one object, one color, repeated until the audience owned it with him. Office Hours takes the same discipline into Kingdom U.
The orange tree in his backyard. Same spot every episode.
One fixed spot at Tye’s home, dressed as the quad. Same frame every episode.
An orange, picked from the tree and peeled while he talks.
An apple on the professor’s desk, polished and eaten while he talks. The teacher’s fruit.
Orange owns everything: the tree, the fruit, an all-orange home studio, his media company ORANJ.
Burgundy and gold own everything: the set, the merch, the covers, the sit-down room.
Football jerseys from “Liberation State,” a school of his own invention. Rotated across episodes.
Kingdom U jerseys and varsity knits, number 20, the crest. Rotated across episodes.
The sun as backlight, learned one video at a time.
Late-day backlight at home, the same hour every block.
Written like a journal entry. He finds the joke inside the heavy subject.
A written premise in Tye’s own words: preaching, wit, testimony.
The series grew into The Vic Mensa Show, a podcast shot in the orange studio.
Office Hours leads into the sit-down, shot in a burgundy faculty office.
Screen recordings for reference, played without sound. Tap to pause.
Tye · the world already on stageFrom the V20 performance: the uniform, the banner, the room. Kingdom U already exists; the series continues it.
One place. One object. One color. Repeated until it belongs to him.

Tye, direct to camera, one fixed spot at home. Same frame every episode.
Reference reels for this format are in KU 105, The Orange Tree, Studied.
The parody skits run inside one world as numbered episodes instead of one-offs. A numbered episode gives the weekly tentpole a fixed slot, and the Dove Awards performance already introduced the world.
Tye as principal and professor. Faculty, janitor and students as recurring roles.
Shot on blue screen. Campus built with AI and the Kingdom U classroom and gym from the Dove Awards.
60–90 s episodes. Each stands alone. Grouped as an Instagram Series; cut for TikTok and Shorts.
Welcome to Kingdom U. Ends on “Where were you when Victory dropped?”
Tye reclaims everything in the bin: “I want it all back.”
Parody skitFirst Semester releases. Out-now announcement from the principal’s desk; the half canopy is revealed.
Students recreate OG Victory moments, then vs now.
Parody skitDove Awards footage and the HBCU band recreations. Go Lions.
Season close. Points to the Second Semester, 04.02.27.

Direction for episode title cards and the Pep Rally and Homecoming posts.
Set reference · the campus

The method for Kingdom U: film Tye once at home, generate the campus around him.
15–20 trend-ready bits in one hour, off a list the digital team sends 48 hours before.
Same suit, same pose as the 2005 cover. Stills and a 10-second motion version. Shot first on the day.

Twenty years later, the room still knows every word.
A day and a half. One location. Tye’s home base.
The crew and the kit come to Tye. Every setup lives in one place.
Kingdom U is built around him in post: blue screen on the day, the campus generated after.
Every setup resets in minutes, so talent time stays short.
Portable blue screen at home base. Blue, not green: less spill from grass and trees.
Pull the matte. Wardrobe avoids blue; Chambray stays off blue-screen setups.
Kingdom U classroom and gym from the Dove Awards, plus AI-generated plates for new rooms.
Match sun direction between plate and capture. Grade to the school colors.
Instagram Series, TikTok, YouTube Shorts.
Backyard or garage. Portable blue screen for Kingdom U; natural setting for Office Hours. Crew comes in. No talent travel.
Orlando rental studios with green or blue cyc run about $50–180 per hour. Example: Orlando Rental Studio, Studio C, $60/hr. Picked by shortest drive from Tye.
Office Hours and the Victory recreation at home; Kingdom U at the studio if light or weather won’t hold. Held for day one only.
